Telecine is an area of post production where John
must change the color on the film to match that of what the advertiser wants.
When filming commercials and print ads, a variety of external factors can
affect the overall picture. If it is an overcast day on an outdoor shoot, the
product sold needs to have the color enhances.
That is what John does. Why do some of the pictures that you take on your family camera sometimes come out great and then sometimes they are bad? You even bring them to the same place to be developed. The pictures you take on your Kodaks, Canons,
Minoltas, etc. are dropped off at the photo lab like Eckerd’s, Walgreen’s or
Wal-Mart. The person who prints
those pictures is actually controlling the outcome.
If the machine is not calibrated properly, your pictures will not print
properly. Your roll of film is
printed on one setting. This means
that each picture is not enhanced individually which will result in just
average looking
pictures. Most professional
photographers are not equipped to do their own color correction.
With John, you have his 25 years of color correction experience.
He takes the digital photos, enhances the colors and then prints them to
your size specification.
